About Erin
I have been working in the mental health field since 2016 in family homes, group treatment programs, private practice, special education, and primary health care. I have had the privilege of working with individuals, families, and couples of all ages and backgrounds, and have most recently shifted my focus to emerging/young adults managing life transitions and stressors. I am passionate about equality and protection of human rights, and hold a special place in my heart and practice for the LGBTQ2S+ community. I approach my work with curiosity, humor, creativity, and evidence-based methods.

My personal interests in the field of psychology include attachment, family of origin, and the neurobiology of mental health and stress.

As part of my practice over the last 2 years, I have included my dog, Timber, in my sessions as a Therapy Assistance Animal in training. Timber is a welcome companion as well as a calming presence in sessions.
About Timber
Therapy Assistance Dog in Training
Timber the Eurasier was born in May 2021. He is fluffy, curious, and friendly, and loves being part of sessions either getting scritches up on the couch or napping on the floor. Clients have said Timber is a welcome presence in sessions for comfort, grounding, and sometimes comedic relief. Timber is currently in training to become a certified therapy dog and participates in weekly training with certified dog trainer Sally Young.
Having animals in therapy has been shown to help reduce stress, reduce isolation and loneliness, increase empathy, improve trust, and facilitate communication.
If you are interested in having Timber join your sessions, please let me know!
